Hexagrammos lagocephalus
One pair of cirri; Cirri short and fleshy or long and feather-like; color variable, females are often solid mahogany colored, males are often blotched with bright red and black with turquoise bands near the mouth.
Occurence: Bering Sea, Aleutian Islands to southern California; Japan.
