Bathymaster caeruleofasciatus
Typically dark brown with black fins and blue spots on pectoral fins; females and young(?) orange brown with bluish bars on sides and black fins; operculum often with prominent blue-black spots that become obscured in adults; pelvics with blue centers; maxillary to rear of orbit or beyond; caudal fin scaled for at least half its length , scales evident on body, no scales on cheek; gill rakers on lower 1st arch 10-14
